Dateline Saturday January 26. We’ve had quite a noisy bunch of male friends, all in their 40’s and all Boarders in the chalet this week. Led by ex-World Speedway Champion, Mark Loram, they’ve been good fun and it will seem very quiet after tomorrow! They have enjoyed great conditions for Boarders with new snow, so they will all go home very happy. It made conditions good for us skiers too, but slightly more challenging. Some red runs opened up that have been closed until now, so yesterday we skied the unpisted “Coche” down to Montchavin…. that made us concentrate, but not as much as today’s blast down the longest unpisted red in the resort, Mont de La Guerre. Really great but exhausting! We were so pleased that the new bubble out of Champagny is the same as the new “ish” one out of Montalbert with very comfortable seats!
May not get much skiing in sunshine over the next few days as we are due to see about a metre of snow dropping around the chalet. Will help us to test our skis for deep powder! Bring it on…….
