Having spend the first part of this season ski-ing on vast quantities of cannon snow, the day long snowfall yesterday created a whole new feel to the slopes today (Wednesday). A lovely sunny day and I ski’d with some of my speedway rider friends who wanted to straight line every slope, giving me a few more grey hairs in the process. But the snow underfoot was, in the main, soft and forgiving so, as I tried to keep up with them, the control was really first class and I enjoyed every metre.
It was minus 12 most of the day, so when the sun dipped at 3 O’Clock, we all decided that afternoon tea was a great idea. Lots more snow is forecast for the rest of the week and Mont Blanc had a big ‘hat’ on today giving truth to the forecast… Len
