Len in La Plagne, 13th January 2019

Dateline Sunday January 13th.  Heavy snow is falling as I write with a lot more due overnight.  This will make it possible to ski all the excellent off-piste areas like Crozats and also open up all the lower areas like Champagny.  To be fair, Montchavin and Montalbert have been ski-able to the very bottom, but the last kilometer or so have been icy.  Now all that will get back to La Plagne “normal” with minimal ice.  So far, some of the reds and blacks have not been open so I would expect that to be reversed over the next day or two.  My own ski-ing this year, with my new partners, Rees and Annabel, has been first class, sticking mostly to the upper slopes where the piste conditions have been almost perfect.  Now I’m looking forward to spreading my horizons in what looks like being top class conditions both on and off piste… after big snow on Monday, the sun is due to shine… bring it on!  Len
