Can seats on the aircraft be reserved in advance? No, they are allocated at check-in.

What is the luggage allowance?
JET2 (Manchester & Stansted):  Hold luggage – 22kg.  Hand luggage – 10kg. Ski boots may be placed inside your hold luggage bag OR taken as hand luggage, provided the bag complies with Jet2 sizes (56 x 45 x 25cm).  One additional small item of cabin baggage such as handbag, laptop bag or airport purchase may also be taken.  INFANTS – No luggage allowance

Do the chalet staff live in?
The chalets are the home of the staff who work there.  In most cases the staff actually live within the chalet, but there are a few chalets where this is not possible so the staff sleep in alternative accommodation nearby.

What are the facilities for children?
Most resorts have crèche facilities run by the local community (French speaking only): Courchevel take age 18 months upwards. La Plagne & La Tania from 3 years. In all cases the parents must supply a medical record plus a doctors letter to confirm their well-being.

What are the catering arrangements?
Silver Ski provides breakfast of porridge, eggs, cereals, french bread, preserves, and afternoon tea with home made cakes, 3-course dinner at 7.30pm with free unlimited local wine.  Silver Ski chalets are the homes of our staff and they will generally dine with our guests. On Wednesday it is staff day off and no dinner is provided. Guests dine at a restaurant at their own expense.  Please note that Silver Ski will try to accommodate special dietary requests but these cannot be guaranteed (this includes not being able to guarantee such requests as providing a totally nut free environment within a chalet).

Are there separate dining arrangements for children?
Yes, children age 12 or under may dine earlier if required, usually at 6-6.30pm. Parents help with the serving.  Please notify our office staff (at least one week prior to travel) if you require this service.

Can individual group members pay separately?
Yes, but must be sure to identify the group leader.

What are the payment methods?
Holidays can be paid for by bank transfer or by credit or debit card.  We accept all VISA debit & credit cards and all Mastercard debit & credit cards.  We do not accept Discover, Diners Club, Union Pay, JCB or American Express.  Lift passes can also be paid for by the same cards (but not by bank transfer).  Payments for lift passes are taken in Euros and you are responsible for checking any charges that are levied by your card provider.

Will there be snow?
Yes, for 2 reasons: Our resorts are very high mostly with access to glaciers and are very snow sure. All of these resorts have very extensive snow making machinery so that even in a poor snow season most runs are fully open.

Do Silver Ski provide bath towels?  No, but a hand towel is provided in each wash room.

Do Silver Ski provide wi-fi?   Silver Ski Holidays try to provide wi-fi within all of our chalets.  However, we cannot provide assurances or guarantees as to the reliability or availability of this service.  Internet connections are prone to service drops – be it a complete loss of connection or slow speeds in ski resorts.  We therefore cannot accept liability for any poor quality or loss of internet access.

Do Silver Ski offer any ski guiding/hosting services?
No, unfortunately due to new French authority regulations we are no longer able to offer this service.
