Chalet Jacqueline, La Tania

Dear Silver Ski,

We've been away with you virtually every year for the last 15, and I thought I'd let you know what a great week we had in Chalet Jacqueline in La Tania last week.  The brilliant snow and sunshine helped a lot, but it was Sue & Mike in the chalet who really did the business.  After less than perfect hosts last year, we looked around other chalet companies, but decided that, as we know Chalet Jacqueline well, we'd give it another go.  Despite their advanced years - about the same as us! - they were cool, professional and utterly committed to giving their guests a great week.  The food and other aspects of hospitality were super and the week raced by.  We can't thank them enough - and we thought you'd like to know.

Hope they stay on for the 2012/13 season.

Chalet Topaz, La Plagne

A message to those poor souls 'holding the fort' at Maidstone -

Having just returned from a week in La Plagne, staying at Chalet Topaz, I thought it appropriate to make you feel even more left out by reporting how great the snow and weather was (continues to be).  In what I expect will prove to be a futile attempt to cheer you all up, please note that all the staff over there are working their socks off to ensure that the guests you send over enjoy the highest levels of service, particularly in terms of nourishment (liquid and solids) as well as 'joi de vivre'.  The bad news is that they still appear to be enjoying themselves.

Having strayed away from Silver Ski on a number of occasions during the last 30 odd years (only so that we could widen our experience of other (non Silver Ski resorts) in Italy, Spain and N.America), it is always a real treat to return to the security of knowing that Silver Ski has NEVER dropped its standards below the level of excellence.  Well done to the four lads and lasses at Topaz and also to the stirling and inspirational guiding assistance provided by Ian (Pops).

Chalet Elaine, Christmas Week - Courchevel 1850

Over the Christmas period my wife and I enjoyed the hospitality of Chalet Elaine in Courchevel 1800 with hosts Jacky, Nicky, Indie and Reuben.

Without a doubt it was one of the best holidays we have enjoyed in the last 15 years.

I appreciate we had plenty of snow and mixed weather, but the icing on the cake was quality of hosting by the four superb staff.

From the first meet at the airport until our departure they ensured that all our expectations were realised.  Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail was excellent.  Always smiling and cheerful, and Jacky's cooking inventiveness on Christmas Eve was to say the least brilliant.  They have the total team ethic....

As the face of your company in resort they deserve our thanks and hopefully yours for excelling in every area.  Please pass on our deep felt gratitude.  Dave and Mary  16th January 2012.

Chalet Sonjon I, Courchevel Le Praz

Just a quick message to say how much we enjoyed Courchevel and the convenience of Chalet Sonjon I to the lifts.  Jack, the chalet host, was superb and he was very helpful.  Everything went according to plan and I would consider taking the family with Silver Ski again.  Symon  6th January 2013.

Chalet Elaine, Courchevel - New Year

We returned on Monday, exhausted and happy from our 'all weathers' ski holiday with you.  We had a great time food was 'the best' and Ruben was a star keeping our boys entertained.  Derek, Sarah, Stephen and David, 6th January 2013

Chalet Dede, La Plagne

We have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Chalet Dede, La Plagne.  The hosts, Sarala and Dylan, could not have been more attentive.  Both gave very freely of their time and I felt a part of the group whilst also performing their duties efficiently.  (John, January 2012).

Chalet Jolie, Meribel

I have just returned home from a week in Chalet Jolie in Meribel and wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to Craig, Pam, Ben and Laurie for such a wicked week.  They all went out of their way to make the week so enjoyable, the food was delish, and the skiing was excellent.  I want to come back!!! Chalet Elaine, Courchevel

Just returned from an excellent week at Chalet Elaine in Courcheval. I've been on several chalet holidays, but this was my first with Silver Ski. This was probably the best, mostly down to the superb staff at the chalet, they should be congratulated for a great job done. Martin Lawrence (19th December 2011)

Ski Chalet Bonin - Feb Half Term

Very excited - we have just booked our Eurostar Crossing ready to return to Chalet Bonin in La Plagne next February half term.  Although Silver Ski do offer a fantastic flight and transfer service (Gatwick to Grenoble) which is used by half of our group, the rest of us find that the French roads lend themselves well to an easy journey to resort.  Our holiday starts a day early and we take a leisurely drive through France, stopping at a nice little hotel and enjoying a couple of drinks and a tasty meal before the exciting mountain ascent on Sunday morning.  The bonus for the kids is that they are able to take loads of extras when travelling by car - the poker set is usually a favourite with the chalet staff!

We had the most amazing time last year and Chalet Bonin is a firm favourite of ours - position great (situated at 2000m and virtually ski door to door), chalet very comfy and inviting, excellent home cooked food and the bonus of a safe play area at the back of the chalet, which is very popular with the children (who range from age 5 to age 19!!!).  Shouldn't wish time away as we have the summer to enjoy first - but Silver Ski, we cannot wait til February!!
