All en-suite bathrooms and situated right on the piste just above Plagne Soleil at almost 7000ft, its position and quality are impossible to better.

This home was built to Silver Ski's design and represents everything that knowledgeable skiers are seeking.  Literally ski from and to the door on a blue piste linking quickly with the Bergerie chair or Plagne Centre via the Boulevard lift, it's position is little less than ideal.  At the end of the day the Collosses drag out of Bellecote, or the Bergerie chair allow skiers to arrive back to the door on skis having had perfect access to every corner of Paradiski.  Although 80 steps need to be accommodated on arrival, this is a small price to pay for such a perfectly positioned chalet.  Nightlife is literally a stone's throw away with the ever popular Monica's Bar the centre of attraction with Thursday caberet evenings for most of the season, or after a short free bus ride Plagne Centre with its large variety of bars and restaurants has easy access from the Topaz.  Staff live in this purpose built home which enjoys ensuite facilites with baths in every bedroom, plus heated boot racks to add a luxury touch.

A message to those poor souls 'holding the fort' at Maidstone -

Having just returned from a week in La Plagne, staying at Chalet Topaz, I thought it appropriate to make you feel even more left out by reporting how great the snow and weather was (continues to be).  In what I expect will prove to be a futile attempt to cheer you all up, please note that all the staff over there are working their socks off to ensure that the guests you send over enjoy the highest levels of service, particularly in terms of nourishment (liquid and solids) as well as 'joi de vivre'.  The bad news is that they still appear to be enjoying themselves.

Having strayed away from Silver Ski on a number of occasions during the last 30 odd years (only so that we could widen our experience of other (non Silver Ski resorts) in Italy, Spain and N.America), it is always a real treat to return to the security of knowing that Silver Ski has NEVER dropped its standards below the level of excellence.  Well done to the four lads and lasses at Topaz and also to the stirling and inspirational guiding assistance provided by Ian (Pops).
