The ski resort of Courchevel is located within the world famous 3 Valley ski area, one of the worlds largest ski areas. It comprises 5 ski resorts - Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires, Val Thorens and La Tania. Skiing or boarding in Courchevel 1550 is located directly below Courchevel 1850 and therefore offers very quick access to the main Courchevel ski area and the 3 Valleys. With new lifts in Courchevel 1550, access to the pistes makes skiing easy.
The north facing slopes retain great snow coverage and are impeccably groomed. The ski resort of Courchevel 1850 has an impressive lift system accessing both sides of the valley from the hub, La Croisette, and is home to the world's largest cable car, taking skiers up to Saulire at 2,738m. Courchevel 1850 is a great place for beginners, being home to 7 of the resort's 12 free lifts, and having plenty of wide greens and easy blues in the Altiport section.
